We have eliminated the hinged lid that our competitor’s bin uses, a weak point which often breaks due to extended use or over-filling the bin with medication strips. Their lid tends to “pop open” then it gets jammed and breaks off when the cart drawer is closed.

A broken lid means that valuable resident information attached to the bin is lost and the lids usually fall and tend to accumulate behind the bottom drawer. Accumulated broken lids often prevent the bottom drawer from closing preventing the cart from locking, this causes an expensive service call and an unlocked medcart until the tech arrives!
